Imagine soaking in an outdoor bath while snowflakes dance around you. The warm, modern onsen coupled with a fantastic seven-course dinner turned a simple stay into a remarkable culinary experience.
Despite the beautiful surroundings, the awkward restroom design made dressing cumbersome, and the hotel’s isolation limits dining options unless you have a car.

It was just a perfect match for a weekend stopover in Toyako with very good value for money. The friendly older gentleman at the small desk made check-in easy and welcoming, which added to the charm of the stay. Make sure to bring snacks since nearby food options are minimal after dark.
