From skeptic to believer
Imagine soaking in an outdoor bath while snowflakes dance around you. The warm, modern onsen coupled with a fantastic seven-course dinner turned a simple stay into a remarkable culinary experience.
Despite the beautiful surroundings, the awkward restroom design made dressing cumbersome, and the hotel’s isolation limits dining options unless you have a car.

The private onsen on the balcony was a relaxing highlight during my stay. However, limited dining options were disappointing, especially at night.

amazing view, spacious room, excellent service
Misleading description on fireworks visibility, poor maintenance of outdoor bath leads to hygiene concerns!!! Location is isolated, leaving guests with limited dining options nearby and tricky logistics for those without a car!!!

We Hotel Toya offers a stylish setting with a clean room featuring a serene balcony that overlooks the lake. The dinner was exceptionally rich and tasteful, showcasing a variety of well-executed western dishes. I appreciated the thoroughness of the service, which ensured leftovers were packed individually to preserve freshness.
The restroom design lacks adequate hooks for hanging clothing.

The King Room with Lake View was super cozy and stylish. We loved the clean design and small balcony that offered a nice view of the lake. The onsen was fantastic after a long day, and the dinner was very tasty. However, the restroom was a bit awkward without enough hooks, which made storing clothes a hassle.

It was just a perfect match for a weekend stopover in Toyako with very good value for money. The friendly older gentleman at the small desk made check-in easy and welcoming, which added to the charm of the stay. Make sure to bring snacks since nearby food options are minimal after dark.
